RETOUCHING

Digital Photo Retouching
Retouching refers to enhancements, restorations, clarifications, made to a pre-existing image. Includes professional scanning, digital reassembly of image when the source is literally in pieces (i.e. a torn photograph or document), color corrections to restore or enhance the original color of an image, digital cleanup removing dust, dirt, and spotting associated with aging, and reproduction by means of printing a photographic copy of the newly repaired or enhanced image. Archive important documents and deteriorating pictures in a digital format which can easily be copied repeatedly without generational loss and distributed to friends and family. Remove unwanted elements from that perfect picture. Correct red-eye, which plagues otherwise great photographs.
